Organic Non-GMO Lunar White Carrot

Introduced in 1839 by Henri Vilmorin. Long, 12-24 roots, white with green shoulders. Highly vigorous, often outgrowing the orange varieties. Europeans originally preferred white carrots, and this variety is still popular in Belgium and France. More frost tender than orange varieties, so dig it up early in the fall. White carrots were grown in the Middle Ages, but now they have become very rare. Carrots used to come in many colors until the Dutch in the 17th century bred the carrot orange to honor their national colors. Extremely sweet. 75 days. 250 seeds
